Radical Love

From Separation to Connection with the Ourselves, Each Other, and the Living World

15th - 19th March 2027

Immersive Residential - South Devon UK

Led by Satish Kumar and June Mitchell, this immersive course invites us to look beyond conventional ideas of love and consider what becomes possible when love is rooted in compassion, generosity, humility, connection and care.

Drawing on Satish’s lifelong work as a peace pilgrim, environmental campaigner, educator and former monk, alongside June’s embodied approach to movement, nature and wellbeing, the course explores how a deeper sense of connection can shape the way we live, relate and respond to the challenges of our time.

Through talks, conversation, contemplative practice, Qi Gong, time in nature and shared experience, participants are encouraged to open their hearts, reconnect with what matters and explore their own understanding of Radical Love.

Key Information

Course Overview

At the heart of the course is a simple but far-reaching question: what might change if we allowed love to guide the way we relate to ourselves, each other and the Earth?

Satish Kumar explores love as something much broader than romantic or personal attachment; a force that can nurture compassion, harmony and ecological care for all of life. His approach invites participants to consider how our inner landscape informs our politics, society, relationships and actions in daily life.

Through embodied practice, movement and connection with nature, June Mitchell will offer opportunities to explore the course themes not only through conversation and reflection, but through the body, breath, senses and direct experience.

Together, Satish and June offer an experience that brings philosophical exploration into relationship with lived experience. In community with others, you will explore the barriers to love, share stories and reflections and discuss how a deep love for self, each other and the living world can move us beyond fear to cultivate joy and presence. In a supportive and caring environment, you will discover practical tools and principles that can be easily implemented in everyday life. Our hope is that you end the week feeling grounded, nourished, connected and with a sense of optimism.

You Will: Experience:

  • Inspiring talks and conversations with Satish exploring the personal, social and ecological dimensions of love.

  • Gentle Qi Gong, meditation and embodiment with June to connect breath, movement and awareness.

  • Time and space to slow down for reflection, contemplation and meaningful conversation.

  • Opportunities to explore the land through walking and nature connection practices.

  • Nourishing, locally sourced and hand cooked vegetarian meals, shared in community with others.

  • A shared sense of community and responsibility with fellow participants and staff, as we care for the place and each other during our stay.

  • Opportunity to meet and learn alongside others who are curious about creating a more compassionate and connected way of living.

  • An opportunity to explore how love, simplicity, generosity and care might inform our everyday choices and relationships.

Course Structure

This week-long course unfolds as a deeply immersive experience with consistent rhythms and practices to cultivate a sense of safety and care. Satish’s teachings, wisdom sharing and invitation to discuss each topic provides a consistent and regular format for participants to meet themselves and each other wherever they are in their journey, whilst June’s embodied practice invites space and nourishing moments to reflect on questions or topics that may need further percolation or processing.

Together, June and Satish create space for participants to explore the themes of Radical Love through ideas, conversation, physical experience, contemplation and relationship with the living world.

The programme outline may include:

  • Daily circles where all participants meet and explore the topics of Radical Love together.

  • Morning meditation to start each day with presence, intention and perspective.

  • Afternoon Qi-Gong, allowing topics to settle in, and move through the body.

  • Regular nature connection activities that provide the backdrop for understanding humans as part of nature, not separate from it.

  • Shared meal preparation and housekeeping to cultivate a sense of care and responsibility for our actions.

  • Evening talks or social occasions that provide the opportunity to connect with each other in a relaxed way.

  • Free time to explore or rest in a way that feels nourishing or important to you.

Why Join This Course?

We live in a time of profound disconnection and ecological and social injustice. The pace of modern life and factors beyond our control mean many of us experience a growing distance from ourselves, each other, and the living world we so vitally rely on. This often results in responding from a place of fear, concern or scarcity.

Radical Love offers a different approach. One that is grounded in a sense of awe and wonder for all life has to offer. Satish’s deep wisdom reminds us of what it means to cultivate a home that is full of care and a life that is beautiful and abundant. Satish and June’s way of life together offers an embodied and deeply authentic example of what it means to experience and live life with Radical Love at its core.

The course is an inspiring journey that will leave you feeling nourished, reinvigorated and connected to all of life like never before!

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Explore a wider understanding of love and its potential to transform relationships and communities.

  • Reconnect with yourself and your own sense of belonging and wellbeing.

  • Spend meaningful time in nature and consider our relationship with the living world.

  • Balance intellectual exploration with embodied, practical and contemplative experiences.

  • Share ideas and experiences with a like-minded community, and learn from other participants.

  • Take time away from everyday routines to listen, reflect and gain a fresh and inspired perspective.

  • Consider how the principles of Radical Love may become part of your own life and way of being.
