The Story of Schumacher College
For over three decades, Schumacher College has been at the forefront of experiential and holistic learning, bringing together leading thinkers, activists and practitioners to explore the deep questions of our time. The College embodies a living experiment in ecology, community and spirit – where learning is relational, hands-on and grounded in place. Through immersive courses and collaborative inquiry, we nurture the personal and collective transformation needed to shape more just, connected and life-affirming futures.
Hand, Mind, Material:
Reclaiming Agency and Relationship
26th February - 4th July 2027
Hand Mind Material invites you to reconnect with the world around you through the embodied practices of making. Rooted in Schumacher’s tradition of experiential learning, the course explores how working with materials can deepen our understanding, nurture creativity and strengthen our sense of agency and interdependence. Through hands-on workshops, shared inquiry and individual practice, you’ll discover new ways to connect personal learning with the living world.
