Short Course Booking Terms and Conditions
Thank you so much for your interest in booking a course and joining the Schumacher College community. Booking and Payment
To book your place, kindly pay the course fee, and where appropriate, select your preferred room type via our website.
Once you have made payment, you will receive an email with a link to our registration form. This form includes the usual info such as personal details, emergency contact as well as any medical, access and dietary requirements. We need to know these before we can confirm your place.
We cannot reserve places and are not able to confirm your place until we receive your payment and a completed registration form. We appreciate it requires a bit of admin upfront, but we really do appreciate prompt completion of our registration form.
Cancellation and Refunds
Sometimes, we unfortunately may need to cancel a course. In this scenario, we will do our best to reschedule and prioritise transferring your booking to the new date or another course. A full refund can be issued if preferred.
Schumacher College reserves the right to cancel a course or event for any reason, which may be owing to insufficient participant numbers, the availability of staff or tutors, or other reasons beyond our control.
We understand that plans sometimes change. If you cancel your booking more than 6 months before a course start date, you are entitled to a full refund, minus a £50 admin and processing fee.
If you cancel your booking less than 6 months before the course start date, we are regretfully unable to issue a refund. This is because we are a small charitable organisation that relies on confirmed course bookings to support our organisational processes. If you need to cancel your booking in an exceptional circumstance, please let us know by contacting info@schumachercollege.co.uk and we will confirm if we are able to offer any sort of refund in this scenario.
We strongly advise you to not make any irreversible arrangements – such as travel, or significant purchases of goods, materials or tools associated with a course – until you receive confirmation that the course will run.
We very much recommend taking out reliable travel insurance. We are not liable for and cannot reimburse travel costs or any other losses incurred by you in the event of the cancellation of a course by us or you. Please check that any policy you purchase meets your needs.
Other
We reserve the right to make changes to the advertised teachers, facilitators, and any programme details as necessary.
Please let us know any dietary or other requirements through the registration form during the course booking process. We will do our very best to ensure all needs are reasonably met, but unfortunately, cannot guarantee this. The sooner we receive your completed registration form, the more likely we will be able to find solutions to your needs.
If we observe that the attendance of a participant on a course is not in the best interests of the broader group or Schumacher College, as a last resort, we reserve the right to require a participant to leave. In this scenario, no refund will be issued.
By booking a course, you consent to the College’s capture and use of any photographic, audio or video recordings. These will generally be used for, but not limited to, promotional and marketing purposes. If you have any queries about the use of content or prefer not to be included, please let us know.
We are not responsible for content and the usage of content captured by others, and should you wish to use content for your own purposes, please ensure you have received the relevant permissions before publishing.
